'Magic Molly' is a thicker, oblong-shaped fingerling potato with striking, deep purple skin and purple flesh that retains its color even after boiling. Great, all-purpose flavor and is also high in phytonutrients, anthocyanins, and other antioxidants.
Its size can be on the spectrum from small to medium-large, with some over 6 inches long. A mid- to late-season potato.
'Magic Molly' potatoes were developed in Palmer, Alaska in 2007 by the potato breeder Bill Campbell, in collaboration with the Alaska DNR Division of Agriculture.
These seed potatoes were grown organically by our friend Jesse at Mythic Farm in Blue Mounds, Wisconsin. They have been tested and certified for all potato disease requirements.
